This is the fourth part to me trying to document and fix the broke 3 point lift on our Case 885. Most of the winter I stored the valve body and related parts with penetrating fluid, ATF, diesel, either, etc in an attempt to get the valves inside to break free. I mainly used a wooden dowel rod and tried my best to get it to grab but to no avail.
After some discussion over at the DBTC forums someone recommended a concrete anchor bolt. in combination with hitting the valves fairly hard with the wooden dowel, the soaking over the winter and then using the "extractor" I was finally successful!
