For part two, I removed the seal housing/bearing retainer to remove the main seal as that's the way it's done the easiest. I used a large punch and mini sledge hammer to drive it out, being careful not to knick the aluminum housing/retainer with the punch.
I cleaned the housing/retainer with a Zep Orange Degreaser and water solution and installed the new seal with some all purpose grease I had. Grease was also used on it's mating surface to help seal since I wasn't replacing the gasket (it was in good shape).
That odd looking rubber washer is the 32-spline seal for a fixed yoke NP205 transfer case (the one in this video), which was purchased from Torque Kings 4x4. A large washer is needed between that and the yoke nut.
My U-joint and u-bolts and nuts were reused since it was relatively new.
