The first Airbus A380 for Japanese Airline ANA, named "Flying Honu" in special blue livery, performed the first testflight after the painting at Airbus plant Hamburg, Germany, on Feb. 14th, 2019. The aircraft will be delivered by end of March and enter the ANA Tokyo-Honolulu service on May 24th, 2019.
The Hawaiian word "honu" is a term of endearment used towards the sea turtle,
and reflects the widespread love that the Hawaiian people feel for this animal. "Flying Honu" is meaning "flying sea turtle".
Aircraft will be registered JA381A, it is MSN 262 of the A380 program.
