6 Fun Things to Do in Nagasaki | I Explore One of Japan's Most History Packed Cities

Описание: Day 4 OF 12 - For the 4th day of our epic 12-day road trip around the Japanese island of Kyushu, we drove to the port city of Nagasaki.

Nagasaki is perhaps best known today as the second city to have had an atomic bomb dropped on it, but it has a rich history going back hundreds of years. For more than 200 years, Dejima island was the only place that Westerners were allowed to visit, with Dutch traders introducing Japan to Western foods, technology and goods.

I spent a packed day exploring the city, visiting 6 of the best sights: Glover Garden, Dejima, Gunkanjima, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Shinchi Chinatown and Mount Inasa. Gunkanjima was my personal favorite as it was such a strange experience to see an eery abandoned island so far away from the mainland.
