The Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks has a large Greek Community that is known for some of the best Greek restaurants and bakeries in the country. And on this adventure, we found that the Greek cuisine encompasses so much more than just Gyros! Come with us as we explore some of the local restaurants, try some Greek dishes and get immersed in the Greek culture that is found in Tarpon Springs. Oh, and let's not forget the shopping. Not only did we find natural sea sponges, but we also found handmade soaps of olive oil and goat's milk. And there were fine olive oils for cooking, aged balsamic vinegars, tasteful wines and lots of souvenirs.
