Ouled Bambara | Gnawa Ceremonial Opening
Ouled Bambara is the sacred opening suite of the Gnawa ceremony.
It is a song of praise to God, salutations to the Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ), and an invocation that opens the spiritual space for the ceremony to begin.
Performed in its traditional form using only guembri, hand claps, vocals, and feet tapping, this suite establishes rhythm, intention, and presence before the full ritual unfolds.
This is the moment of grounding.
