Описание: Yes, in one word, LASIK or refractive surgery can be done for post cataract surgery. However with the availability of new tools like the optical biometeter or the advanced lenses what we have, the need for a post cataract surgery refractive treatment has been reduced. Most of the cataract surgeries end up with no glasses. However, 1 to 2% of these cataract surgeries have some amount of residual power. If the residual power is less than 0.5 or 1 normally we ignore that, if it is more than that, a refractive glasses have to be given or either a surgery needs to be done. The commonest refractive surgery that needs to be done is either LASIK or advanced surface ablation. However remember not all patents are fit to undergo LASIK or advanced surface ablation after cataract surgery. There are lots of points to be considered before deciding on this and the best person to do this would be the ophthalmologist.
