(22 Feb 2018) Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tried to woo business leaders in New Delhi on Thursday and encourage them to set up shop in Canada, calling it "a pretty good place to do business".
Trudeau was speaking at the Indian Canadian Business Session a day before he was scheduled to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He spoke about creating better labour standards and increasing participation of women and young people in the workforce.
Trudeau pointed out that his weeklong trip to various parts of India has yielded more than a billion Canadian dollars (788.2 million US dollars) in investment.
On Friday, Modi and Trudeau are expected to focus on areas including civil nuclear cooperation, space, defence, energy and education.
