However, he cut out a path for himself, to lead a life a pilgrim by visiting almost all the important pilgrim centers of Europe and ultimately dying in Rome with the nick name: “Fool for Christ”. This man is St. Benedict Joseph Labre, the patron of the homeless, single men, and of those suffering with mental illness.
