Butternut Squash Pie Recipe: the best 'Pumpkin Pie' you'll ever taste

The secret to making a GOOD pumpkin pie comes down to the filling. And when it comes to the filling, most people use a can of Libby's pumpkin puree to help them along. However, the company uses a specific type of squash called a Select Dickenson's to make it. It's much more like a butternut squash, so I decided to try making a pie using an ordinary butternut squash from the supermarket. It tastes simply incredible and was relatively easy to make from scratch.
