Delhi - Saharanpur Memu Sf Express (unreserved) (20411) train runs from Old Delhi to Saharanpur is INDIA'S FIRST SUPERFAST MEMU TRAIN. This train covers a distance of about 181 kms in just 3 hours . The Train only has stoppagesDELHI,GHAZIABAD,MEERUT,MUZAFFARNAGAR & SAHARANPUR.
Conventional MEMUs use DC traction motors which are directly connected to
the rectifier. The current trend for last decade is moved from DC traction
motors to AC traction motors, which offer better control, better reliability and
are less prone to breakdown and repair.
Driving Motor Coach (DMC)
Driving Motor Coach (DMC) is a powered vehicle with one Traction Motor
driving each axle. High Tension (HT) Compartment (for propulsion
equipment) and Driver cab at one end and passenger saloon area is at other
side. Driver cab is furnished with a pre-fabricated driver desk. All driving
operations are possible from this driver der desk, and feedback from all systems
in all the coaches/ basic units is available for viewing by the loco pilot on the
driver desk. In this regard MCU aggregates all the information from all
coaches and a 10.4” Touch Based TFT display is provided for showing this
information to the driver. Further an illuminated indication panel is provided
for important driving related information for easy viewing by the driver.
Various gauges are also provided for driver viewing. The driver will also be
able to control the Passenger Information System from the Driver Desk. The
HT compartment consists of Traction Converter, Auxiliary Converter and
other ancillary equipment. On the roof of the HT compartment, there is a
pantograph, Vacuum Circuit Breaker and other ancillary equipment. Traction
Transformer is under-slung mounted on the Motor Coach. Battery box and
compressor are also mounted underslung. Rest of the DMC apart from the
Driver cab, HT compartment is Passenger saloon area.
The Main line electrical multiple unit (MEMU) with 3 phase onboard Propulsion system, is an existing Indian Railways approved Carbody design that has been adopted, re-engineered and developed by BEML on a contract from Indian Railways. .
The 3 phase Propulsion system is state of the art system consisting of IGBT based microprocessor controlled 3 phase drive with VVVF (Variable Voltage Variable Frequency) control. The train has regenerative braking system for energy saving, and saves around 30% of energy thus reducing the carbon footprint. Energy saving LED lights are also used for illumination in the Coaches.
Old Delhi Junction railway station is the oldest railway station in Old Delhi, Delhi, India. It is one of the busiest railway stations in India in terms of frequency. Around 250 trains start, end, or pass through the station daily. It was established near Chandni Chowk in 1864 when trains from Howrah, Calcutta started operating up to Delhi. Its present building was constructed by the British Indian government in the style of the nearby Red Fort and opened in 1903. It has been an important railway station of the country and preceded the New Delhi by about 60 years. Chandni Chowk station of the Delhi Metro is located near it.
Ghaziabad Junction railway station (station code:- GZB) is on the Kanpur–Delhi section of Howrah–Delhi main line, Howrah–Gaya–Delhi line and New Delhi–Bareilly–Lucknow line. It is located in Ghaziabad district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It serves Ghaziabad.

Saharanpur Junction railway station is a junction railway station on the Northern Railway network in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Its station code is SRE.
Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor or Eastern DFC is an under-construction broad gauge freight corridor in India. The railway will run between Ludhiana in Punjab and Dankuni (near Kolkata) in West Bengal via Khurja in Uttar Pradesh. The total Length of this Corridor is 1839 KMS.
