Описание: For the first 15 years of my life, we lived in a house with a dry well. In fact, we lived on a property that was dry, which was odd because our neighbour had an artesian well, but after 9 wells drilled we had to stop trying. With the infrastructure in place, the solution to this problem was to fill the well from a different source, being my grandparents house down the road. Building my own off grid home now, there are limited options for water, but growing up trucking water, I am actually excited about the idea of a water truck and storage tanks.

Locations closer to a city have the option of getting water delivered, and for the quantity it is quite affordable, but the delivery its self drives the price far too high to be a viable option. It is less than $20 for the 2000 litres that my tanks can accommodate, but the delivery is nearly $300. Living on the road for the past 4 years, I have become accustomed to water conservation, so I will be able to make the 2000 litres last quite a long time, but at that price a water truck will pay its self off quickly. Moreover, the freedom of not relying on others for your essential needs is exactly what draws me to the off grid lifestyle, and for that reason I want to have the ability to obtain my water at any point necessary.

I have been keeping a close eye on trucks for sale around BC, and the price of used vehicles is quite high currently, so I was very happy to see this one come up for sale here in town. It was a little pricier that I had hoped, but it is a great runner, it is in remarkable shape, and being a one ton it can pack the weight no problem.

I absolutely love cruising around in the Rig, but I always wish I could drive a dually around without a house on the back of it, so this is an exciting one for me. After driving the little ford ranger around for the past couple of months, it feels so good to be back into an old truck, not to mention the character. That glorious red interior, full on sofa of a bench seat, and rumbling carbureted V8 make this truck a ton of fun to drive, and it is fun to see folks reactions to it. Its not often you see an oldie like this is such good shape. I am a proud new owner, and Destination Adventure will be a happy new home for the remainder of her years.
