The Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday released National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2021. More than 6,000 colleges and universities participated this year on the sixth edition of NIRF India Rankings 2021. As per the NRIF Rankings 2021 released by the Education Ministry, eight IITs, two NITs have been featured in the top ten list of engineering colleges in India.

IIT Madras ranked first followed by IISc Bengaluru and IIT Bombay in Ministry of Education's annual ranking, said Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In the best colleges category, Miranda House ranked first, while LSR College for Women got second rank, and Loyola College ranked third in the list.

In the best research institution category, IISc Bengaluru ranked first, IIT Madras got second rank and IIT Bombay ranked third in the list.

In the best college for management category, IIM Ahmedabad ranked first while Jamia Hamdard has been recognized as the best institution for pharmacy studies.

NIRF India Ranking 2021.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education to rank institutions of higher education in India. The NIRF India Ranking parameters include - Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity and Peer Perception.

The NIRF India Ranking 2021 has been announced for eleven categories -- Overall, University, Management, College, Pharmacy, Medical, Engineering, Architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), Law and Research Institutions.
