This documentary will explore the struggle within the Palestinian diaspora in Tampa, from university students to activists.
After 1948, 300,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes. 73 years later, since then, the Palestinian diaspora numbers at about 12.4 million and counting. Although the exact statistic of Palestinians in Tampa isn’t exact, Temple Terrace has been coined “Little Palestine”. On 56th street alone, there are about 10+ Palestinian store front owners, including an Islamic school with 85% percent Palestinian descent attendees, a mosque, a roastery with 100% of imports from Palestine, and more. I will document how the Palestinian diaspora lives their day to day lives in America and how it affects them.
