Materials:

Chunky or worsted weight yarn
I used: Pink – Barry
Red – Swollen

6mm crochet hook
Standard hair tie
Scissors & yarn needle

Instructions:

Round 1:
1. Attach yarn around the hair tie with a slip stitch.
2. Ch 1, work 40 hdc around the hair tie, ensuring the stitches are evenly spaced. Add more hdc if needed.
3. Slip stitch into the first hdc to join.
4. If changing colour, fasten off and attach the new colour into any stitch with a slip stitch.

Round 2:
1. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 dc into the same stitch.
2. Work 3 dc into each stitch around.
3. Slip stitch into the top of the starting ch 3 to join.

Round 3:
1. Ch 3, work 2 dc into the same stitch.
2. Work 3 dc into each stitch around.
3. Slip stitch into the top of the starting ch 3 to join.
4. Cut the yarn, fasten off, and weave in the ends.
