Stevens Pass Backcountry Snowboarding // Splitboarding

Описание: Well officially the deepest day of the Season! I hadn't been to Stevens Pass in two years so it felt good to be back. One of the PNW best mountains and less than two hours from Seattle, WA Stevens Pass is an all time spot. The snow level was super low which added some commute time but made for some epic snowboarding.

After Josh had sent me a picture of a pillow zone in need of some fresh snow I hit him up with the desire of splitboarding in this zone. It turned out to be so epic. We splitboarded from the truck after watching numerous AWD vehicles get stuck in the snow. It was dumping pow and was 19 degrees F.

After a fairly easy split in the skyline area of Stevens Pass we made it to the zone. We were greeted with 2 plus feet of fresh blower pow. Definitely the deepest day of the season. We rode to the bottom of the rock garden, got 2 pillow runs, and rode back to the truck totaling 4 epic runs. Leaning all the way back and our snowboards were still struggling to stay a float. The snow was cold blower powder and it was deep reaching easily three feet in spots.
