Описание: For episode 7, we reach theatre artist/filmmaker Pranab Akash’s home - Gaurhya Gaun, Dang. This is where he learnt his language, culture and lifestyle. It has taught he who he is. For the rest of the team, it was a bit different. Difficult questions of identity, language, music, culture was laid in front of us. Looking at a rich culture like Tharu through just a musical lens is unjustifiable, we need to first understand the community’s struggle to fight years of oppression. This was our small attempt at learning and understanding the rich history, culture and music of the Tharu community in Gaurhya Gaun, Dang. We’d like to specially thank the people of Gaurhya Gaun, Dang.
