The 2018 ₱1.00 coin belongs to the New Generation Currency (NGC) coin series of the Philippines issued by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). It is made of magnetic nickel-plated steel, giving the coin a silver-gray appearance and magnetic property.
