With naval #architecture and exterior & interior #design by the renowned #Dutch firm #HoekDesign Naval Architects, MY Far Niente features classic lines reinterpreted in the light of contemporary #technology. Her hull design is based on the herring luggers that were fishing in the #NorthSea during the early 20th century. The hull and propellor were optimised through Hoek Design’s VPP (velocity prediction program) and CFD (computational fluid dynamics) programs applied as well to the #yacht’s single propeller to maximise fuel efficiency for an impressive range of 3750 #nautical miles at #cruise speed.
The #elegant combination of classic allure and modern technique is present as well in the #Deck House, built in cold moulded wood composite, where timber beams and other structural elements are visible and characterised #FarNiente’s interiors.
