HOTEL; Stay at a hostel, 'AirBnB', 'couch surfer' or camp. I stay solo at hotels because it's where I feel safest. Switzerland & Austria were the most expensive countries. Turkey and Romania were the cheapest.

TOLLS; Take the back roads, those are FREE.

FOOD; Take sandwiches, buy cheaper food - don't stop at fancy shcmancy service stations - although they are yummy!
