Every scale has harmonies that form naturally using the notes in the scale. These are called Diatonic Chords.
In this video, you will learn which chords occur in the key of Bb major, and in which order. This scale will focus on root position triads only.
Major triads are formed with a Major 3rd on the bottom and a minor 3rd on top.
Minor triads are formed with a minor 3rd on the bottom and a Major 3rd on the top.
Diminished triads are formed with a minor 3rd on the bottom and a minor 3rd on the top.
Bb Major Scale: Do - Bb, Re - C, Mi - D, Fa - Eb, So - F, La - G, Ti - A, Do - Bb
Chords: I - Major (Bb), ii - minor (cm), iii - minor (dm), IV - Major (Eb), V - Major (F), vi - minor (gm), and vii dim (a dim).
