Описание: This time, too, I wanted to fill the canvas with bright, vibrant colors.
However, as soon as I caught sight of a bright color during the painting process, I felt something inside me resisting.
Again and again I was drawn to earthy greens and yellows.

Not exactly thrilled, I began to paint with these unfamiliar dark colors. As I did so, I could see my fears coming to the surface:
I desperately wanted to paint something that would please everyone and was bursting with color. I wanted to stay in my safe territory and put on canvas what I knew would be "beautiful".

With each new thought, I could see that I was finding it harder and harder to draw and was losing the joy of it.
There was a pain in my neck and I was getting tired. It just wasn't flowing through me at that moment. Something was blocking what was trying to work through me.

I stopped painting and lay down in bed, discouraged. Kimoji (my cat) made himself comfortable right on my chest.
The chaos inside me calmed down and I realized something very essential for me:
Resistance to what wants to express itself through me blocks the flow of energy and, in this case, apparently the flow of painting.
Doubt about what was speaking so clearly to me was preventing me from experiencing it.
The thoughts and ego that wanted to prove something to the outside world clouded my senses.

When I realized this, I could decide:
1. either I stay in resistance and torture myself through the process or stop painting or
2. surrender to what wants to happen and trust God.

I chose the second option and went back in front of the canvas.
It only took a few minutes and it was already painting through me, as I already knew from previous experiences. Every brushstroke was guided. I didn't have to think and I didn't have to exert myself. It was suddenly all easy and flowing.
