In this video we’ll cover the balance sheet. There are three main components in the balance sheet: Assets, Liabilities and Shareholder’s Equity. Assets are what the company owns, and liabilities are what the company owes (financial obligations). If you subtract Assets minus Liabilities you are left with the net assets, or shareholder’s equity.
There are many important financial ratios that use some of the elements in the balance sheet, such as the Current Ratio, Price to Book Ratio, Return on Equity, Debt to Equity Ratio, Return on Assets, Working Capital, etc. Please find below links to my other videos where I explain these ratios:
