Tajikistan Muslims are different and have a clear and ancient cultural identity. Most of them are atheists because of long USSR rule. The president is also an atheist who is strongly against Islamist culture. Bearded people are frequently arrested and taken to the barber shop by the Tajik police. Saudi Arabia is secretly pumping money to spread salafi type of Islam, but Tajiks are not interested in a conservative style of Islam, they keep saying, we are Tajiks and not Arabs. They love music and dance when a wedding is conducted in the village. Unlike the Gulf countries, Tajikistan welcomes Indians warmly and considers Indians as high class people. India has built airports and military bases in Tajikistan and helps the country very much.
