Описание: 2024 featured some of the nastiest weather ever, a handful of the scariest crashes ever, or pretty tame examples and not much in-between.

Some particularly frequent brake failures peppered one Castle Combe meeting with one of the biggest crashes at Quarry corner occurring for some time and the other featured the worst crash in this video for Chris Page who speared the pit-lane wall. Miraculously Chris was plucked from the car alive and conscious albeit sadly wasn't unharmed, but an upgraded safety bar from Custom Cages kept the former Autograss man alive. The rest I can say walked away with no serious injury, despite things like another Caterham bursting into flames at Donington, the Charlies out access road throwing a luckless SuperKart occupant out of the seat, a return to Oulton Park that felt like it featured an entire season of clumsy incidents

For the most part I'd argue it was fairly well behaved, although I think I spent more of the year rallying than circuit spectating, and the rally drivers have an impressive ability to do something spectacular the second they pass the camera and not in front of it! With two cars managing to roll down two separate welsh valleys after entering the respective corners fairly innocuously. Perhaps the biggest thing to learn from this year then would be to keep an eye on your brakes at places like Donington and Castle Combe. These failures are a relatively common occurrence at some tracks, and if they don't happen to you, they might happen to someone that takes you with them! Vigilance is key in Motorsport.
