In this chapter, Altair finally tracks down Tamir during the ruthless smuggler's tour of the markets and lays his soul to rest, though not before hearing Tamir's confession that he might be "serving a far nobler cause than mere profit", whatever that cause might be. This concludes the restoration of Altair's Memory Block 2 and yet another day of experimentation inside the Animus. After a night of rest, Desmond returns to the machine to resuscitate another round of memories - in which he has some more of his powers restored by Al Mualim and two more assassination missions to carry out. The first of these takes him to the city of Acre, reachable only by way of another long cross-country track, where he finds himself constantly running into trouble with the Knights Templar.
