Cairndhu house built in the 1870's became the home of Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon in 1918.
From the early 1950s Cairndhu served as a convalescent home before closing its doors in the mid 1980s. The former seaside residence in the grounds of Carnfunnock Country Park near Larne has been empty ever since.
