A DC landlord shares videos of confrontations with a tenant amid a years long legal dispute

Описание: On Wednesday, the D.C. Council is expected to vote for the final time on the RENTAL Act.
If passed, the RENTAL Act could transform D.C.’s housing laws at a time when many D.C. landlords feel as if the existing housing system and the regulatory agencies operating within it are stacked against them.
Jeffrey Levin, a private lender since 1991 and landlord within the district since 1994 currently operates 28 units. He said he understands the impact of tenants, who violate their leases.
For more than six years Levin has been embroiled in a landlord-tenant dispute with a renter at one of his properties on Capitol Hill, a tenant who, Levin alleges in an ongoing lawsuit, owes him more than $12,000 in back rent.
