This video is the making-of process of a mycelium skins jacket, using the proprietary technique developed at VUB. The steps included in the video exclude the parts that are protected by IP. The goal of this video is to open the lab doors and make mycelium materials science more understandable to a broader audience.
Together with the physical prototype of the jacket, this video forms “Fungal Skins: Macro”, an installation presented at Milan Design Week 2025.
This project is part of Annah-Ololade Sangosanya’s PhD research at MICR, VUB.
