Parthenon – More and Less than a Temple

Описание: Despite the popular perception of the Parthenon as the main temple for Athenians on the Acropolis research has shown that religious sacrifices did not take place here. In fact, the primary functional purpose of the early Parthenon was acting as an Athenian treasury with many of the religious rites and sacrifices taking place in the adjacent Erechtheum. In this video we will explore the history and function of the Parthenon.
