VIOLENCE AGAINST NURSES | Break Room Chat No. 1

Описание: Violence in nursing. It happens. We don’t like to talk about it, many of us have accepted it as “part of our jobs”, and it seems like too large a problem to tackle most days. But if we never talk about it, we will never tackle it. This video is the first in a series of conversation I’m hoping to have about the hard things. The things we don’t like to talk about. The things that are so important, but tend to get pushed under the rug. Nurses experience violence at the work place every single day, but we never really hear about that. I’m hoping to start the conversation, or at least contribute in some small way. In this video I share my experiences of violence in my workplace as a nurse and nurse practitioner. I’d be so grateful if you shared yours as well, or even if you just listen. We can tackle this if we accept that it is happening, and let others in on what we deal with on a day to day basis.
