051 Sailing Canal du Midi part 2 (France) Étang de Vic - Béziers

Описание: Sailing Canal du Midi with our motor boat.

We leave our off grid spot at Canal du Rhône à Sète, mid étang de Vic. We stay in Frontignan a couple of days, repair the generator and visit a literature festival. We sail direction Sète and cross the étang de Thau. Finally we reach the entrance of the Canal du Midi.
We pass the first very low bridge and are exited to see if the Barolo is not too high. The first lock is also quite an event; when leaving it the mast gets stuck in a telephone cable that is just 5 meters above the water. We didn't see it, the cable breaks in two but the mast is still ok.
We decide to spent some days off grid at the crossing of the rivers l'Hérault and Canal du Midi. Beautiful quiet place.
Next is the famous round lock of Agde.
Direction Béziers we have to pass even lower bridges and therefor we take the tent and the windows down.
The Barolo is a cabriolet now.
We arrive in Bézier and are going to stay here for a week.

The Barolo is a Linden kotter of 13.70 m
