A video of the first leg of my qualifying cross country as part of my PPL training.
This was done at the beginning of August 2016 (I've since passed my skills test).
Unfortunately, I don't have a video of the 2nd leg, which was far more interesting, as like an idiot I left the spare memory cards and batteries for the GoPro in the flying school :(
Also - no ATC on this one either as for some reason the headset / bluetooth wasn't working quite right.
The route was fairly direct... East Midlands Airport, leaving the zone via Shepshed down to Markfield. From Markfield it was a straight flight to the Daventry VOR via Earl Shilton, Narborough, Rugby and Daventry. Once at the VOR then the lookout for Turweston began ;)
At the time of filming I was a PPL student, so please don't use this video for flight instruction.
