In Exodus Chapter 10, God continues to display His mighty power through two devastating plagues—locusts and darkness. The locusts consume everything left after the hail, leaving Egypt completely desolate, while the plague of darkness brings a deep and terrifying stillness over the land.
Pharaoh repeatedly admits his sin and asks for forgiveness, yet his repentance is short-lived. Each time relief comes, his heart hardens again. In contrast, the Israelites experience light in their dwellings, showing God’s protection over His chosen people even in the midst of judgment.
Exodus 10 teaches us that delayed obedience and shallow repentance cannot stand before a holy God. True surrender comes from a humble heart that fully listens to His voice.
