The announcement of Emily Barker as the support for Deacon Blue made what would have been a great night into an outstanding one. And I was so pleased for Emily too. She definitely needs more exposure now that she’s back in Australia. She’s such a wonderful singer/songwriter. It was a short but beautiful set of five songs and one poem. I recorded two:

Always a joy to see Emily play (I wonder if she’s ever thought of covering Pink Floyd).
