دو آلبوم ”در آیینهٔ ساز“ را که در سال های ۲۰۰۵/۲۰۰۴ م بیرون دادم تماماً مشتمل بر آهنگ های قبلاً اجرأ شده اند. ارزش باز خوانیٔ آهنگ های قبلاً اجرا شده نهایتاً برای من در آنست که نه تنها آواز سرایندهٔ این سروده ها و همآهنگی های موسیقایی در آن با عواطف، احساسات و خاطرات من گره خورده اند، بلکه همین پیوند های عاطفی و ذوقی چه آگاهانه و چه نا آگاهانه مرا رهنمون بوده اند در ساز و موسیقی. همزمان باز خوانیٔ این آهنگ ها نمودار ذوق و شیوهٔ من است و مبین آن که کار من تسلسل راه و روشیست. در هر آهنگ ازین دست، هر چند دیرینه، لذتی نهفته برایم و حالی که فرصتی میشود برای تازگی در تکرار تا باشد برای شنونده نیز دلنشین افتد. درآهنگ گلو و سروده های طبع من نیزاینجا و آنجا آب و هوای این پیوند ها جاریست. از دیدگاه من هر آهنگ و سروده گامیست در پهنهٔ شعر و موسیقی و سراینده مسافر – امید هر گام بارورباشد ازعاطفه و سلیقهٔ با عشق آشنا، از دریافته ها و تجربه های دیروز و امروز.

The value of a cover song, i.e., to sing previously performed songs and compositions, lies not only in the fact that the melodies therein and the voice and timbre of the original singers are interwoven with my memories and feelings, but that these consciously and unconsciously emotional and aesthetic bonds have guided me on my musical path. Meanwhile, the performance of these songs is a reflection of my taste and style as it conveys my musical and vocal genealogy. In my voice, songs, and compositions I carry on, here and there, the taste, vision, and experiences of what I have listened to. There is joy in performing these compositions or songs that time and time again turns into an opportunity to sing the old, felt mood anew, i.e., to experience one’s own transformation and that of the song at the same time in the hope to make it enjoyable for the audience as well. I consider each song a step taken into the vast horizon of music and poetry; all the while the singer is the traveler. Hopefully, each step taken on this journey is imbued with the feeling of and taste for love, with the experience of now and of time past.
