Raas Rang was envisioned by Late Pt. Sohanlal Mishra, a revered tabla maestro of the Banaras Gharana and Top-Grade artist of Doordarshan and All India Radio. A performer, teacher, and torchbearer of tradition, he dedicated his life to the preservation and propagation of Indian classical music. His journey was supported by Smt. Sheela Mishra, whose grace and devotion continue to shape the Trust’s ethos. Together, they created a place where music and dance were not just taught but lived as sacred expressions of culture.

Today, the legacy thrives under Pt. Sumit Mishra, a distinguished A-grade tabla artist with All India Radio, alongside dedicated family members:
