Due to the rising war tensions in the Middle East, the governments of Punjab and Balochistan have announced the temporary closure of educational institutions across the provinces.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has ordered that all schools, colleges, and universities will remain closed from March 10 to March 31, while examinations will continue as scheduled and students may attend online classes.

The Punjab government has also announced several emergency economic measures, including a ban on fuel for provincial ministers, a 50% reduction in fuel allowances for government officers, and restrictions on protocol vehicles.

Government offices will adopt work from home, and online meetings and teleconferences will be conducted to ensure official work continues smoothly. Outdoor government events have been suspended, and the Horse & Cattle Show festival has been postponed.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan government has also ordered all public and private educational institutions to remain closed from March 9 to March 23 due to the current regional situation and possible transport disruptions.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid panic buying and hoarding of essential commodities while monitoring fuel supply across districts.
