my pick today is the biggest hit from North Carolina funk band L.T.D. (which stands for Love, Togetherness, and Devotion), which appears on their 1977 album "Something to Love." Bass player Henry Davis putting down a seriously funky line here -- if you're anything like me, you'll have trouble staying still while playing it. some tricky bits, especially if you want to play it exactly as the recording, but the main groove is simple enough and basically plays itself if you get into it. let's just say it's a good thing the score is where it is on this video, cause otherwise you'd be looking at some seriously stanky bass face. enjoy!

(NOTE: please forgive the weird angle and the fact that my right hand isn't completely visible. i'm still figuring out angles in my very cramped office, and i thought i had it but i must've shuffled around a little in between takes... won't happen again!)
