ELMS 4 Hours of Imola 2025 - European Le Mans Series - Collective Test - LMP2 - LMP3 & LMGT3

Описание: The ELMS European Le Mans Series returns to Italy with the 4 Hours of Imola 2025, marking the fourth race of the championship out of seven to be held. I had the pleasure of seeing the cars in action on the first day of free practice (Collective Test), which took place on a very hot Thursday, 3 July. Critical line-up with 44 crews at the start, distributed in the three classes LMP2, LMP3 & LMGT3. Eyes are on the IDEC Sport team in the LMP2 class thanks to the trio composed of Daniel Juncadella, Mathys Jaubert and Jamie Chadwick, who took victories in Barcelona and Le Castellet. Behind them, second in the standings, 23 points behind, is the Oreca car no. 10 of Vector Sport driven by Ryan Cullen, Vlad Lomko and Pietro Fittipaldi. In third place is the VDS Panis Racing team, with a crew composed of Esteban Masson, Oliver Grey, and Charles Milesi. Personal note. I was shocked and partially disappointed by the almost total lack of sound in the LMP3 class and, unfortunately, even more so in LMGT3. The new Toyota 3.5-Litre V6 Twin-Turbo engines may be super-efficient and high-performance, but I don't argue about that. However, the Nissan naturally aspirated V8 that previously powered the LMP3s was a completely different beast in terms of sound. And unfortunately, as happened in the WEC, the total lack of sound in the LMGT3 cars due to the silencers is frankly a nonsense.

L' ELMS Europeans Le Mans Series ritorna in Italia con la 4H di Imola 2025, si tratta della quarta gara del campionato su sette da disputare. Ho avuto il piacere di vedere le vetture in azione nella prima giornata di prove libere (Collective Test) svoltasi in un caldissimo Giovedì 3 Luglio. Line-Up importante con 44 equipaggi al via distribuiti nelle tre classi LMP2, LMP3 & LMGT3. Occhi puntati sul team IDEC Sport in classe LMP2 grazie al trio composto da Daniel Juncadella, Mathys Jaubert e Jamie Chadwick che ha conquistato le vittorie a Barcellona e Le Castellet. Dietro di loro, secondi in classifica, a 23 punti di sitanza la vettura Oreca n°10 di Vector Sport guidata da Ryan Cullen, Vlad Lomko e Pietro Fittipaldi. Al terzo posto il team VDS Panis Racing con l'equipaggio composto da Esteban Masson, Oliver Gray e Charles Milesi. Annotazione personale. Sono rimasto interdetto e parzialmente deluso dalla quasi totale assenza di sound in classe LMP3 e purtroppo ancor di più in LMGT3. I nuovi propulsori Toyota da 3.5-Litri V6 Twin-Turbo saranno anche super efficenti e prestazionali, non lo discuto, ma certamente il V8 aspirato della Nissan che equipaggiava precedentemente le LMP3 era tutta un'altra cosa a livello uditivo. E purtroppo, come è capitato nel WEC, la totale assenza di sound delle vetture LMGT3 per colpa dei silenziatori è francamente una cosa senza senso.
