Union Minister and Dharwad MP Prahlad Joshi visited KIMS Hospital in Hubli to meet the injured victims of the recent land dispute firing incident in Tadsinkoppa, Dharwad district.

During his visit, Prahlad Joshi expressed strong dissatisfaction with the police response to the case. He reportedly advised Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar IPS and DCP Shruti, questioning why strict action was not taken immediately after the firing incident.

The Union Minister referred to the land dispute case in Tadsinkoppa, where five rounds of gunfire were allegedly fired into the air. He stated that the police should have acted more effectively and ensured the swift arrest of all accused persons. According to him, the main accused is still absconding, raising concerns about law enforcement’s handling of the case.

Prahlad Joshi emphasized that the primary duty of the police is to protect the public and maintain law and order, not merely remain in offices. He also questioned the absence of the Police Commissioner during his hospital visit, stating that senior officers should be present during such serious situations involving public safety.

The incident has sparked political debate and renewed demands for stricter action against those responsible for the firing. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
