#98 Finishing the Plaster Coat, Preparing to Pour a New Concrete Floor & Bonsai Work

Описание: In this episode I finish the final coat of plaster inside the old Italian cow stable and begin preparing to pour a new concrete floor in the basement. The materials arrived late, so the actual floor pour will happen next week - but there’s still plenty of progress.

I install the waste water pipe for a future washing machine setup, adjust the layout to maximize space, and continue transforming this old rural building step by step.

When the floor materials were delayed, I used the extra time to focus on my bonsai trees and garden projects. I repot my European plum bonsai, explain my trunk tapering technique, work on root development, and establish a dedicated tree growing area. I also begin presprouting vegetables.

Alongside the renovation work, there’s a bit of homestead life — homemade lasagne, sourdough breakfast, and the reality of juggling house restoration, gardening, and family life.

This is part of an ongoing Italian farmhouse renovation series where I restore an old stable using traditional methods while building a slower, more self-sufficient lifestyle in rural Italy.
