Lets face it, if you or the company you hire to clean your aircraft cleans with a soft bristled brush it is scratching and will contribute to your aircraft paint deteriorating much faster.
Brushes scratch the paint. Soap is not going to lubricate the surface enough to keep brushes from scratching. Scratches compound over time and create an environment where it is easier for contaminants to stick to the paint easier. Scratches essentially create more surface area, therefore making the paint deteriorate faster.
