In our very first episode, Unmasked & Messy: The Real Beginning, we share how moving to Spain 11 years ago with three young kids exposed cracks we didn’t know how to name at the time. Far from everything familiar, we realized quickly that things weren’t okay — but it took much longer to be honest about it.
This episode is about who we are, why this podcast exists, and what we mean by living unmasked and messy. We talk about the relief of realizing you’re not alone — and why that relief isn’t the end goal. Awareness matters, but so does healing.
After many highs and lows, we’re beginning to see how unresolved experiences shape our relationships, parenting, insecurities, and behavior. And through all of it, we believe the gospel isn’t just helpful — it’s essential.
