2v8 is a game mode with a higher emphasis on action, so we had to make some gameplay adjustments to accommodate.
Here is the return of the chaotic 2v8 event on February 10th at 11:00 AM Eastern, accompanied by the debut of the Torchbearer Survivor class and two fresh map variations: Groaning Storehouse and Rotten Field.
This means a few changes to Maps and several key systems, including the way Survivors are Hooked and Sacrificed. Given the frantic nature of 2v8, we found that downing and placing Survivors on Hooks was slowing down the pace a little too much. To allow Killers to dive back into the action quicker, downed Survivors can immediately be sent to a Cage, teleporting to a random location across the Map.
