Welcome to Calaveras Country! We have beautiful trails along the Coast to Crest trail system which is also the Mokelomne River trails along the Mokelomne River.
In today’s video I’ll take you on a journey as I walk/run the trails starting at the Campo Seco Staging Area which is part of the Coast to Crest trails.
I started on the trails heading in the direction of Gwen Mine Road where I’ll share parts of the John Bull loop and back to the parking lot of Campo Seco Staging Area which is approximately 7 miles round trip, then I head in the opposite direction going towards Cooks Mesa showing you beautiful trails that lead you to a Vista point overlooking Pardee Lake/dam and back to the parking lot at Campo Seco Staging Area and that round trip is approximately 4 miles.
There are lots of opportunities for all people at any physical ability level on the trails here!
We have single track trails along with road base to go on in a lot of areas.

P.s. I ran Rio Del Lago 100 mile trail race, but after very little training my body was done at 69 miles, but I’m amazed that I made it that far!
You never know what you’re capable of until you give something your all!
