Описание: Is your phone listening to you? Can social networks turn your mic on without your knowledge and listen to your private conversations? With more and more people joining social networks and downloading apps on smartphones it's worth knowing what they can and can't do with the permissions you give them - even if they're not explicit about it.

I look at both the anecdotal and scientific (if you can call it that) research into what's going on and if it's worth you worrying about. Of course, we'll never know for sure. Surveillance capitalism is the name of the game and as a result, they just want us to know the least possible.

Simon Caine is an English award-winning comedian, writer, author, podcaster and human based in Edinburgh Scotland. He makes a video a week, released every Sunday.
