A wild mission with Cam to climb Pole Dancer in Cape Raoul on 25 Feb 2024. Pole Dancer is a bolted sport route on a dolerite pinnacle, extending 1km out to sea - a spectacular position to be climbing an absolutely stunning line. Because of how involved it is to get there, I've put off this trip for many years but we both felt ready to give it a go.
Clocking our mission at 22 hours it was a solid effort and we were stoked to have made it. In awe of the first ascentionists Roger Parkyn, Nick Hancock and Doug McConnell - what a monumental effort to establish these climbs. Tassie never fails to inspire and deliver.
