The Monument to the Battle of the Nations in southeast of Leipzig was built in memory of the Battle of the Nations according to designs by the Berlin architect Bruno Schmitz and on the 18th. Inaugurated October 1913. The plastic works were designed by the sculptors Christian Behrens and Franz Metzner.

With a height of 91 meters, it is the highest monument in Europe and one of Leipzig's well-known landmarks.
