Описание: After the multi-platinum success of "Let's Dance", Bowie took a progressive approach for his next opus, "Tonight" and enlisted Hugh Padgham to produce a few tracks. Padgham had previously worked his pop leanings for some of the most memorable music with The Police, Phil Collins, Paul McCartney, Sting and Genesis. For it's premiere, Bowie commissioned a short film entitled "Jazzin' For Blue Jean" from which the musical performance video was culled and won the 1985 Grammy Award for "Best Video, Short Form" which is now known as "Best Music Video". Bowie wrote "Blue Jean" which was reportedly inspired by 50's teen idol Eddie Cochrane. Bowie went on to say that the song was "a piece of sexist rock n'roll...its about picking up "birds" (girls). It's not very cerebral, that piece". Bowie kept "Blue Jean" in his concert repertoire up until the very end. This one took a few months to get right, the rough cut seemed to drag on until I completely changed the arrangement and made his voice the focus using a few studio tricks to break it up and I think I got it right. I hope you enjoy it, now its louder than ever!
